Here is a full vehicle restoration, with no expense spared. This Land Rover Defender is fitted with a vehicle tracker that will need to be activated by Sky Tag.
This Land Rover Defender left the factory as a Soft Top with air conditioning and was chosen by Steve Toyer Land Rovers Ltd to carry out a full restoration with as high specification that could be achieved and to build a Land Rover Defender that is also individual.

New galvanised chassis made by Richards Chassis and Terrafirma coil suspension with Terrafirma shock absorbers fitted. A new Adwest steering box with new replacement track rods, joints and column universal joints along with a new braking system that includes new brake master cylinder and servo, new copper nickel brake pipes with new brake hoses. Of course, along with new brake discs and brake calipers with new brake pads.
Both front and rear axles have been stripped then shot blasted, primed and painted black. Both front swivel assemblies have been rebuilt using new bearings, seals and swivel balls. During assembly of the hubs new wheel bearings, new seals and gaskets have been used. All parts used have been selected carefully to be of best quality and all units have been assembled correctly.
Due to the low mileage and excellent running performance of the engine it was decided to replace such items as the timing belt, auxiliary belt assemblies, new rear crankshaft oil seal, coolant pump and new clutch assembly. Also, the engine also went through a full service with rebuilt cooling radiator, air condition dryer and condenser assemblies. The air condition system charge and working correctly.
The 5 speed gearbox is original ubnit and the gear selection is smooth and trouble free. New MT94 oil has been used during its service. The transfer box is also original, working correctly with high/low and centre differential lock fully operational. New gear oil has been used during its service.
The body work on this Land Rover Defender is original, the bulkhead/dash panel was shot blasted, then galvanised and painted. The body work was resprayed to its original Coniston Green colour both inside and out, and during assembly of the body work sound insulation has been applied. Many large and small brackets and other body work items have been electro plated, galvanised and powder coated to stop any corrosion.
The interior dash assembly and door trim panels have been flocked to give a warmer and unique feel. New Exmoor Trim front heated seats with matching rear forward facing seats with full set of seat belts, including matching cubby box. The radio system is of high spec with suitable speakers to match, including hands free.
New Exmoor Trim high spec soft top with side and rear windows that have zip facility to roll up the sides and rear.
For safety a roll over system has been fitted during the assembly process.
Externally, Mammoth chequer plate with stainless steel fixings have been fitted. The rear tail door is of a swing away style working in conjunction with a Mantech Spare Wheel Carrier.
New electrical components have been fitted such as lighting, windscreen wash wipe system have been fitted and a heated windscreen and rubber seal fitted that works on a timed relay system.
During assembly the best quality fixings such as stainless steel nuts, bolts and screws have been used. The correct nuts, bolts and screws for the steering, suspension and braking systems have been used and finally, new alloy road wheels with new tyres, including new road wheel nuts and locking wheel nut set have been fitted.
